Reducing the impact of Pulsed Power Loads on micro-grid power systems
Abstract
This thesis considers the effect of Pulsed Power Loads (PPLs) on micro-grid power systems. To this end, a design metric to quantitatively describe the effect of PPLs on power systems is presented. Control strategies to minimize the design metric are developed. The proposed controls are demonstrated using both simulation studies as well as experimental hardware results.
