The method that was used involved micro analysis, which focused on specific elements in the textbook. The elements that were examined included vocabulary, reading, and grammar. The criteria that were used in the vocabulary analysis included visuals and cultural connection. The researcher aimed to find out if the visuals were clear and had a connection with the Egyptian culture. In reading, the criteria involved illustrations and cultural reflections. With the illustrations, the researcher determined if the illustrations supported the reading activities, and in cultural reflections, the researcher looked to see if the reading activities reflected the Egyptian culture. In grammar, the criteria involved teaching grammar as meaning. The researcher examined the grammar examples to demonstrate if the grammar was taught in a meaningful way. Findings revealed that a good success of the stated elements was present. At the same time, the researcher indicated areas for improvement.
