Ethical Delivery of Information in Virtual, Augmented and Reality
Description
Varying levels of representations of reality, including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality , and Mixed Reality are becoming more common in our evolving technological world. If virtual reality is more immersive than other mediums, what are the implications of this immersion. Do “we" have any responsibility to consider unintended consequences of the representations we create digitally? Who is responsible for the effects of the technology: consumers, researchers, designers, developers, producers, legislative bodies? In this talk we will explore some of the implications of varying levels of digital experiences and discuss the ramifications from print to virtual in a world of technological determinism.
