Abstract

We know Guy Debord as a poet, a filmmaker, a revolutionary and a Marxist theorist. Here he is as a strategist and cartographer. This arti-cle examines Guy Debord’s A Game of War as a synthesis of his strategic and cartographic work, before returning to “situationist” maps to study the issues at hand in terms of strategy on several fronts: internally, within the Situationist International movement, or externally, to tackle the art world, urban policy, international geopoli-tics and, of course, the society of spec-tacle.
