The Department of Art and Design offers undergraduate concentrations, majors, and minors in Art Education, Art History, Fine Arts, Studio Arts and Technology, and professional programs in Industrial Design and Interior Design, and Visual Communications Design. Fine Arts is comprised of these areas: Ceramics, Drawing, Electronic and Time- Based Art, Jewelry and Metalsmithing, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Textiles.

The MFA is offered in all areas except Art History and Art Education (MA/Ph.D.). The Ph.D. in Art Education is offered in conjunction with the College of Education. These undergraduate and graduate degree programs offer an extensive range of focused investigations into the making, studying and teaching of the visual arts.
